Buyer Responsibilities

• Verify identity, ownership, health, and welfare records directly with the seller.
• Inspect animals and documents before paying deposits or full amounts.
• Use safe payment methods and keep a written record of communications.
• Comply with New Zealand laws and local rules for animal ownership and transfer.

Seller Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, current, and non-misleading listing information.
• Disclose known health, behavioural, and welfare issues honestly.
• Provide lawful proof of ownership and any required transfer documentation.
• Comply with all applicable animal welfare, consumer, and trading laws.

Privacy Notice for Sellers

Any personal information you provide will be used solely for the purpose of processing and verifying your listing. Your data will not be added into the listing, shared or sold to third parties and will be stored securely in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

Platform Position

Animal Market is an introductory platform only and is not responsible for user statements, transaction performance, payment disputes, or losses resulting from reliance on listing content.

Mutual Acknowledgement

By using Animal Market, buyers and sellers acknowledge that each side is independently responsible for due diligence and legal compliance.
