Animal Market is an online marketplace connecting buyers, sellers, breeders, rescues, and service providers. Animal Market is an introductory platform and is not a party to contracts between users.

2. Eligibility

• You must be legally able to enter contracts in New Zealand.
• You must provide accurate, current account and listing information.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. User Responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable NZ laws, including animal welfare and trading requirements.
• Do not post false, misleading, stolen, or unlawful listings.
• Do not abuse, harass, scam, or impersonate other users.
• Verify all material details directly before buying, selling, adopting, or rehoming.

4. Listings & Content

• You are solely responsible for your listings, images, and messages.
• You confirm you have rights to upload all content you submit.
• Animal Market may edit, suspend, or remove listings that breach these terms.
• Animal Market may request proof of ownership, identity, welfare records, or compliance documentation.

5. Payments, Fees & Refunds

• Any listing, subscription, or promotion fee will be shown before purchase.
• Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once the service has started.
• Users must not process payments in a fraudulent or deceptive manner.

6. Platform Role & Liability

• Animal Market does not guarantee listing accuracy, user identity, or transaction outcomes.
• Animal Market is not responsible for agreements, disputes, injuries, losses, or damages between users.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid to Animal Market in the 3 months before the claim.

7. Prohibited Activity

• Illegal animal sales or transfers.
• Animal cruelty, neglect, or content promoting harm.
• Spam, malware, scraping, hacking, or attempts to disrupt the platform.
• Circumventing account restrictions or moderation actions.

8. Suspensions & Termination

Animal Market may suspend or terminate accounts, listings, or access at its discretion where terms, safety standards, or legal obligations are breached.

9. Privacy

Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy. You must only use other users' contact details for legitimate transaction communication.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes are subject to New Zealand jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law.

11. Updates to Terms

Animal Market may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
